BARTA are pleased to announce the exhibitors, sponsors and supporters attending our conference in Glasgow in June. BARTA is a not for profit organisation and relies on the generous support of others to enable our development and collaboration work.

Thank you to all who are contributing, your help to host a conference with global impact is invaluable.

Resquip and BARTA have collaborated for many years to ensure responders have the essential equipment to train and deliver their life saving services. Resquip Director Tony Ward will join us in Glasgow showcasing the current range of animal rescue response equipment.

Many delegates will be using Resquip products and this is a great opportunity to discuss current and new concepts with the designers!

When emergency or disasters happen, around the world the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) is equipped to step in at a moment’s notice, supporting emergency services with quality food and refreshments, and providing tangible support to those affected.

Beneath their distinctive tents, people from all walks of life seek shelter and refreshment in times of crisis. RRT supports frontline responders as they work tirelessly to overcome the situation at hand, and those who have been directly impacted by the disaster.

We are delighted that RRT will be supporting the conference with a live action demonstration of their feeding and welfare station, situated in our very own evacuation zone outside the Mary Stewart building at Glasgow Vet School. This is our opportunity to showcase their work to an international audience, some of whom will have benefited themselves from this charitable operation!.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) exist to inspire everyone to create a better world for every animal. Every day, they change lives, laws, industries and minds so all animals can live a better life. Here’s how we do it.

Their animal rescue teams are always out in the field, making a real difference to the animals who need them the most. Their main job includes, working to rescue animals experiencing cruelty, investigating cruelty and organised animal crime and giving advice and support to help people help animals.

Their animal, equine and wildlife centres are supported by four animal hospitals and a team of clinical animal behaviourists. Their vital day-to-day work includes, taking care of animals brought in by our animal rescue teams, treating sick and injured animals, some with complex, specialist needs and matching pets with their forever families, or returning wild animals safely to their habitats.

BARTA’s rescue professionals have had a long relationship with Future Safety, supporting the development of a multi disciplined rescue helmet that is used by vets and responders across the world.

The Manta helmet is lightweight and comfortable, has a variety of test standards attached to it and is therefore a perfect choice for multiple applications on land and in water!

Future Safety are embarking on a new generation of helmets and this is a fantastic opportunity to exchange views about animal incident requirements of PPE and help shape the ongoing development of this specialist form of risk management.

Battersea take the time to get to know the needs of every dog and cat that walks through their doors to give them the individual expert care they deserve. As well as their 3 centres, they share knowledge, provide training and grant funding to animal rescue partners around the world, offer online pet advice and training to anyone who needs it, and campaign to improve the lives of dogs, cats, and their owners.

Persie Gin Distillery are sponsoring a drinks reception for speakers and exhibitors

These award-winning gins are hand-crafted in small batches on the site of the former Persie Hotel at the foot of Glenshee in Highland Perthshire.

A keen dog-friendly business, the team’s mission was to release a family of ‘dog gins’ – with different styles of gin reflecting different breeds! For every bottle sold, £1 is donated to PADS to help provide care and shelter for the country’s unwanted dogs.

Unbridled Gin is the latest in the Persie Charity Collection. Animal welfare is a cause close to our hearts so we are hugely enthusiastic (you might say we are full of unbridled excitement!) about creating a bespoke spirit to raise much-needed funds to support the fantastic work at World Horse Welfare.

…and plan to launch a BARTA gin later in 2024.

The team at Notch have created a BARTA branded set of bracelets and tails including a one off bespoke notch for the BARTA Conference and a selection of responder notches which can be purchased at the event and afterwards online as part of an ongoing collaboration.
