BARTA, the British Horseracing Authority and Association of Racecourse Veterinary Surgeons are collaborating to develop a joint understanding of risk and incident management protocols for those responsible for planning and responding to foreseeable workplace risks at racing events.
Preparing for emergency and other unwanted incidents should account for anticipated occurrences on and off the field of play. An integrated risk management plan will lead to agreed operational procedures which outline role specific skills required to mitigate physical and reputational risks.
