Throughout life Teri has always enjoyed being with, learning and understanding animals and was always passionate to work with them in some shape or form. From an early age she has volunteered in dog rescues, donkey sanctuaries, rest home for horses (now The Horse Trust) and at home, she runs a successful equestrian training business that enables her to compete on a professional amateur basis – with some success!

Her family, along with the equine team, are four Fox Red labradors who ensure Teri is good at ‘time management’ (mainly morning and evening feeds!) and familiar with veterinary routine! (tends to be costly!). A keen fundraiser, from auctions to unique experiences raising funds for chosen charities and good causes, in particular charities with animal connections and for our British War Veterans to enable them to participate in organised adventures on their routes to recovery.

As an entrepreneur, Teri has covered most roles required of small businesses during their start-up years from the office cleaner to the HR liaison to the director with the final decision. In true entrepreneur style, Teri has built and developed businesses in both the intelligent technology and sporting event sectors.
She joins BARTA bringing with her a wealth of experience from her roles as commercial and marketing director. From a small family built, intelligent transportation business in the 1990’s she was instrumental in the success of an industry changing technology now used globally for tolling or road user charging solutions. Her team won several grants and awards for their technology
including two Queens Awards for their innovation and export abilities.

She then moved her sights onto the events industry where her drive and passion for marketing and event management lead to working on some of the major sporting events including Formula One, Wimbledon, Ascot and Badminton Horse Trials. Her company Red Fox ID, another start-up in intelligent technology, took algorithms from the transportation industry and used them to develop a live-scoring and tracking solution for equestrian events. The company went on to develop further technology and in 2019 won East Midlands International Business of the Year.

Often the ‘behind the scenes’ person, Teri made sure everything was in place when her teams worked, trained and presented all over the world. She’s a highly motivated, experienced marketing and business development professional with a track record of proven results across diverse businesses and product lines from ITS to the world’s sporting stage.
