FRS NOG Compliance and Levels
Fire and rescue service National Operational Guidance (NOG) and National Operational Standards (NOS) outline planning, preparedness and response for incidents involving animals.
BARTA stakeholders collectively provide expertise which form the basis of knowledge and understanding that underpin the principles, techniques and methodology required to apply the NOG.
BARTA provides advice, direction and training opportunities where required to promote delivery of a standard message across response agencies, encouraging interoperability and a joint understanding of risk.
To address specific needs of the fire sector, BARTA engages regularly with members of the National Fire Chiefs Council Animal Rescue Practitioners Forum. Working closely together promotes awareness of emerging needs and therefore research, development and training is always in line with operational requirements.
