Racecourse Incident Management (Ascot)

BARTA is working with British Horseracing Authority to deliver standardised training to ground staff at racecourses throughout the UK.

There are risks from interacting with horses during an incident. Racecourses are workplaces and the situations we explore are foreseeable hazards. Without training, responders cannot make fully informed judgements and behaviours are at best unpredictable.

Pre planning, training for and coordination of a situation should reduce the risk to an acceptable level.
