BSEVA Congress – Student Practical Day (RVC)

As part of the British Student Equine Veterinary Association Congress at the Royal Veterinary College in 2024, BARTA will be delivering their Student Practical Day module. Designed to give veterinary students an understanding of their future role in attending incidents alongside emergency responders and in preparedness for taking up a position within a practice.

The day will consist of the theory behind working at large animal rescues, the structure and management of a scene and some of the common terminology used by emergency services.

Case studies will demonstrate effectiveness of modern approaches and there will be plenty of opportunity to practice techniques used in rescue situations and to see how these might be applied in everyday veterinary situations.
