Animals in Emergencies and Disasters Conference

BARTA Director Jim Green has been invited to be the keynote speaker at this exciting event being held at Massey University, looking at large scale disasters to incidents involving single large animals.

The conference is being organised by the Animal Emergency Incident Management Network (AEIMN). A unique organisation that joins up emergency services and veterinarians, and other stakeholders involved in animal emergency incident management in Australia and New Zealand.

Developing safer practices for people and promoting animal welfare and wellbeing through policy and education, participating in developing educational resources, online meetings and educational events and hopefully, by attending our annual conference.

​Membership is open to any person who supports the purpose of the organisation including educators, emergency services or animal incident operational persons and other persons responsible for overseeing or delivering animal emergency incident management training in Australia and New Zealand. People involved in policy, WHS, operations, training managers, governance, or other decision-making roles may also be interested in joining or collaborating.
