The information contained in this guide is designed to support trained animal rescue responders by providing a reference to the UK standard agreed techniques for manual movement of large animals.

Bij reddingen biedt toewijzing van taken en verantwoordelijkheden de mogelijkheid om gestructureerd en volgens standaard technieken te werken. Opgeleide specialisten redden van dieren werken in een gestructureerd team met dezelfde technieken.

De taak van de veearts zal de ondersteuning zijn om een redding door te voeren met zo weinig mogelijk verwonden tot gevolg. Hij zal ook verantwoordelijk zijn voor de supervisie op de gezondheid en nazorg van het dier.

Hiervoor zullen prioriteiten moeten gesteld worden voor de wondenzorg, tenzij de persoonlijke risico’s te groot zijn.
